Si hay un grupo que ha conseguido plasmar el odio y la violencia inherente a la sociedad no hay duda que han sido Slayer. Vilipendiados y atacados en muchas ocasiones por sus ideas radicales, acusados de apología del nazismo y de la violencia, llevan más de 20 años sobre los escenarios. Son uno de los pocos grupos que pueden decir que nunca se dejaron llevar por las influencias musicales imperantes en cada época, haciendo siempre un thrash metal cargado de odio, con letras políticas y antirreligiosas lo que les hizo ganarse tanto seguidores como detractores a partes iguales.
